All About Mack Photo

Mack Photo

Mack Photo is the work of Glasgow based, architect turned photographer  Lindsey Mackenzie Parker.

My work is all about capturing spaces and the people that inhabit them.

About Me

I studied architecture at Edinburgh College of Art. I had the opportunity At ECA to take classes in other fields and photography was always my favourite. After finishing my studies, I continued to learn more about photojournalism, fashion photography and editing at night classes while working towards my final architecture qualifications.

I qualified as an Architect in 2007. I worked in both Edinburgh and Glasgow as an Architect, before pursuing my business as a photographer from 2011.

Over this time I have gained a wealth of experience photographing weddings, families and events.

I have also worked for several contemporary Scottish based companies providing creative branding images. This has included interior and architectural shoots for designers, Architects and construction suppliers.

My work is about capturing spaces and how people inhabit them. My architectural background and photography experience allows me to create images that capture the context of your shoot.

You’ll also find me every October at Arnprior Pumpkins as their resident photographer.

Approach

I bring my architectural influences to all of my shoots. I believe it helps me create context to each session for all my clients.

I aim to be as unobtrusive as possible. I photograph events in a documentary style, letting your event happen as you have planned it.

I keep my editing clean and timeless. I want the colours of your images to be realistic and not overly processed. Through the use of rich colours and romantic tones, I hope to emphasise the beauty of how you experience important and every day moments.

If candid coverage and a relaxed atmosphere is your thing, then please do check out my portfolio.

About Me

I love to travel and I try to always have a camera with me. I am inspired by the idea of nostalgic holidays, I want the images to remind us of happy memories visiting places around Scotland and further afield.

This has lead to me having images published in a recent Lonely Planet book and you can read more – HERE

I also like to take part in Februllage every year. It is an online collage project during the month of February where there are daily prompts that you can create an analog or digital collage following that theme. It is one of my quieter months for work so I enjoy investing my time into this personal project that I can learn more about editing and graphic ideas.

From these trips and personal projects I created a print store of giclee fine art prints and risograph prints. You can see more in the print store –

My mini shoots are the same as my lifestyle sessions either at home or at a place that is personal to you. However they are short and sweet lasting only 30 minutes.

Locally to Bearsden and Milngavie I can book these in at any time, however if you live further afield then I would need to schedule in a day in your location. I would be looking to have 4 sessions in one location.

You can expect a minimum of 20 photographs.
