Mastered Power

Editorial Photography shoot in Glasgow

Mastered Power.

It is International Women’s Day and I thought it was the perfect time to blog the editorial photography shoot I did in Glasgow last year. The shoot was imagined by Gillian, a wonderful hair stylist at Pin Up Hair. She wanted to create an editorial shoot which represented ‘Mastered Power’. Gillian will tell you her hair styles feminine. Being feminine didn’t mean it could be powerful. The concept was to show that a woman dressed in a feminine way is still powerful. We didn’t want to fall into the obvious theme of power dressing or appearing more masculine. Gillian was chose a beautiful tulle skirt and silk camisole, both in pale blue from Flossy and Dossy.  Cat Robertson did the amazing, strong make up to our model Sam Kane, who was incredible.

If you want to see more of Cat Robertson wearing another Flossy and Dossy two piece and her hair done by Gillian then head over to see her wedding here – CAT & EUAN

Here are the results of our Mastered Power editorial photography shoot.

Dovecot Wedding
Barbara & Sean

A colourful summer Dovecot Edinburgh wedding.

Barbara & Sean got married at Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh. Their wedding styling was to compliment the colourful yarns around the weaving room floor. At the time of their wedding Kwang Young Chun’s Aggregations exhibition was on in the gallery space. A perfect mix of architecture, art and weddings.

Barbara wore a beaded evening dress from Phase Eight. The bridesmaid dresses in different colours were all from Dessy. The bright floral arrangements were by the wonderfully creative Myrtle and Bracken. That amazing table of cakes were all from the 3 Sisters Bake. The music throughout the day was by The Criterion New Orleans Parade Band.
