A woodland walk Dollar Glen engagement shoot.
Neil is my brother’s school friend who I have known for years. He got in touch with me in the summer when he was home from Canada with his fiancé Elizabeth.
48 hours in Berlin.
Last weekend I had a girls weekend away in Berlin before my friend Gillian’s wedding next month. I can take absolutely no credit for any of the brilliant organising, it was all done by Gillian’s bridesmaid Emma. I thought I’d share some of the fun things we did with our 2 days in Berlin.
Relaxed Lothian Chambers wedding in Edinburgh
We are lucky in Scotland that weddings can be anywhere. I often get asked if I’ve already shot a venue before and very rarely the answer is yes. Most wedding days I visit somewhere new, where a couple have their own combination of venues or locations.
Carlowrie Castle Wedding on a beautiful October day.
Marion and Mark married at St Mary’s Cathedral in the centre of Edinburgh. The weather was amazing. It was really warm for October, so we were able to gather outside the church before traveling out to Carlowrie Castle for their reception.
This is very special family wedding, Marion is my husband’s cousin. I was extremely flattered when she spoke to me about her wedding plans and asked me to photograph her wedding.
The highlights of my 2016.
It has been a while since I’ve found time to blog; so what better way to get back into it than with a look back at the best of my 2016.
I’d like to thank all of the couples who had me along to shoot their weddings, I can honestly say I have loved every minute of it. I’ve been able to visit lots of new venues and revisit some of my favourites.
Hinterland St Peter’s Seminary
Sunday night we visited the spectacular light show by Hinterland at St Peter’s Seminary as part of the 2016 Festival of Architecture. If you’re going this week you will be thoroughly impressed. It’s a wonderful creation of installation art in the ruined building.
