Februllage 2025

Februllage is an online collage challenge on Instagram during the month of February. Each day there is a prompt to create a new pice of artwork following the theme. Here are the images I created for Februllage 2025.

This is the third year that I have done the whole month of prompts. Before that I only ever tried out a couple of the prompts with new ideas. I love immersing myself in the creative process of making something new. I find it worthwhile carving out time to do this when my workload is usually lighter at this time of year. I am now trying to bring some of these ideas into my client work too

This year I wanted to feature Glasgow as much as possible. I hoped that it would inspire some new Glasgow prints for my print store. I have been out photographing some Glasgow landmarks recently as currently I don’t have a ‘Views Over Glasgow’ print like I do for Edinburgh. I have realised that the images that are popular in my print store are the ones of the drizzly Scottish weather. I found that images shot in bright sunshine didn’t sit as well next to my current Scottish prints. I think that the dull weather is more what people remember of Scotland and the beauty that brings. So I’ve decided to celebrate the rain and just go with that idea for now!
